Wotton Area Mutual Aid
During these uncertain times, the Wotton Area Mutual Aid (WAMA) group is matching up people who need some help with neighbours who are willing to give it.
Our volunteers are able to help in a number of ways, including collecting shopping, helping with urgent supplies, phoning for a friendly chat, or giving information about other services and support in our area. We arenʼt healthcare professionals so wonʼt be able to give health advice, and unfortunately canʼt come into your home at this time.
Free soup will be available every Wednesday and Thursday from 11th November for anyone who would like some. For example, you might be isolating, or a key worker who doesn't have time to cook. Just call 01453 844726 between 9am and 12 midday on those mornings and a WAMA volunteer will deliver it to you.

We have put together a map showing local grocery, takeaway and other businesses in the area continuing to offer goods and services at this time. https://bit.ly/WAMAmap
Please message us with the information if you know of any more to be added or with changes that need to be made. We will try to keep it as up to date as possible.
Areas we cover
Wotton Area Mutual Aid (WAMA) was set up to cover Wotton-under-Edge and its surrounding villages, based on the areas supported by the two GP surgeries in the town.
Some villages have their own support groups but WAMA does respond to all requests that come directly to us.
Areas covered are indicated within the map alongside this and include: Wotton, Charfield, Wickwar, Hillesley, Hawkesbury, Cromhall, Tortworth, Tresham, North Nibley, Ozleworth, Bowcott, Whiteway and Stancombe.
